As J.C. Penney Co. (NYSE:JCP) shares declined to a 13-year low on Friday, the firm launched a new attempt to draw in shoppers and spur sales.

J.C. Penney Co. (NYSE:JCP) managed to keep its fall at -13.15% on above-normal volume of 256.50 million shares.

DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS) is a holding company engaged in the ocean transportation services of drybulk cargoes and crude oil worldwide through the ownership and operation of drybulk carrier vessels and oil tankers and offshore drilling services through the ownership and operation of ultra-deepwater drilling units.

DryShips shares ended lower at $3.64 after floating in a range of $3.62 to $3.75. Its opening price was $3.73, reaching market capitalization of $1.47 billion. Its 52-week range has been $ 1.46 – 4.00.

Deutsche Bank upgraded Trina Solar (TSL) and Yingli Green Energy (NYSE:YGE) to buy from hold Thursday, pushing both China-based solar components makers north. Trina shares surged 16% and Yingli shares moved higher 10%, both in higher than 2-1/2-times their average trade. Yingli Green Energy possessed market cap of 1.05 billion and 52 week range of 1.25-6.28.

Zacks kept their Neutral recommendation on Arch Coal Inc. (NYSE:ACI). The premier coal producer presently holds a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). Arch Coal Inc. (NYSE:ACI) shares have plunged -6.18% to $4.25. Over the last three months, the stock has gained 18% and past five days performance showed a negative change of 10.34%.
