Men’s Wearhouse Inc. (NYSE:MW) reported that its fiscal second-quarter earnings declined 28%, as the apparel retailer’s results were affected by several one-time costs and a shift in quarterly tuxedo rental revenues.

Shares declined 13% to $33.85 after hours, as results came short of expert predictions and as the firm declined its complete year outlook, referring to macroeconomic concerns.

For the complete year, the firm declined its adjusted earnings outlook by 30 cents to a range of $2.40 to $2.50 per share.

For the quarter concluded on Aug. 3, the firm declared a profit of $42.9 million, or 85 per share, lower as compared to $59.4 million, or $1.15 per share, a year ago. Omitting takeover and separation costs along with an impairment charge, revised earnings came in $1.01 a share.

Telecom company Royal KPN NV on Thursday reported that it stays in constructive meetings with America Movil SAB (NYSE:AMX) concerning the planned acquisition bid for the Dutch company, stating that at this stage the result of these meetings stays unsure.
