The stock failed to get pushed above the $48.53 barrier, the intraday high, after opening at $48.13. Analysts have a consensus target price of $57.21 in the 12-month period. Its market capitalization has now reached to $245.62 billion.

U.S. Bancorp (NYSE:USB) is now 5.99% above its 52-week low level. The share price was up +0.38% from the previous closing rate after touching an intraday high of $39.77. The stock’s low point in its 52 week range is $37.07 per share, with $46.26 as the 52 week high point — that compares with a last trade of $39.29. Comparing the most recent share price to the 200 day moving average ($41.71) can also be a useful technical analysis technique. Trading volume was at 7.20 million shares versus an average volume of 10.09 million shares. The firm has a PE ratio of 12.41 times earnings.
