As a general rule, insider buying shows management’s confidence in the company, and is considered a bullish sign—in other words a sign that stock prices are likely to go up. Motorola Solutions Inc (NYSE:MSI) saw an insider sell on Mar 17, 2016 that may make shareholders worried. SINGER BRADLEY E, director, sold 290,000 shares at $73.08 a piece. The total sale came to $21,193,200, leaving the total count to 8,757,576 shares. Its shares currently owned by company management are 0.10% while institutional investors own about 93.90%. The 6-month change recorded in total insider ownership was -98.07%. On the other side, -3.91% change in total institutional ownership has been reported for the 3-month period.

Moving on to the second insider trade which involved TAN LIP BU, a President & CEO at Cadence Design Systems Inc (NASDAQ:CDNS) sold 175,000 shares at $22.58 per share to trim the total holding at 487,498 shares. Its shares currently owned by company management are 0.90% while institutional investors own about 92.80%. The 6-month change recorded in total insider ownership was -22.46%. On the other side, -7.61% change in total institutional ownership has been reported for the 3-month period.

Fidelity National Information Services (NYSE:FIS) also received some insider trading action as Massey Richard N, who the company’s Director is sold some 45,000 shares at a price of $62.41 per share to the holding that now comprises of 107,242 shares. Its shares currently owned by company management are 0.50% while institutional investors own about 98.50%. The 6-month change recorded in total insider ownership was -4.76%. On the other side, 15.00% change in total institutional ownership has been reported for the 3-month period.
