Insiders Sell Significant Shares: Integrated Device Technology (NASDAQ:IDTI), Flextronics International (NASDAQ:FLEX), Skyworks Solutions (NASDAQ:SWKS)

As a general rule, insider buying shows management’s confidence in the company, and is considered a bullish sign—in other words a sign that stock prices are likely to go up. Conversely, insider selling is considered bearish—those in the know may be off loading their stocks in an expectation that prices will soon fall. Integrated Device Technology Inc (NASDAQ:IDTI) saw an insider sell on May 16, 2016 that may make shareholders worried. FAN XIANZHI SEAN, VP BUSINESS UNIT, sold 2,385 shares at $21.08 a piece. The total sale came to $50,276, leaving the total count to 82,850 shares. Its shares currently owned by company management are 0.30% while institutional investors own about 99.30%. The 6-month change recorded in total insider ownership was -21.79%. On the other side, 0.61% change in total institutional ownership has been reported for the 3-month period.

Moving on to the second insider trade which involved Collier Christopher, a Chief Financial Officer at Flextronics International Ltd. (NASDAQ:FLEX) sold 4,715 shares at $12.23 per share to trim the total holding at 547,056 shares. Its shares currently owned by company management are 0.10% while institutional investors own about 99.30%. The 6-month change recorded in total insider ownership was -71.28%. On the other side, -0.69% change in total institutional ownership has been reported for the 3-month period.

Skyworks Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:SWKS) also received some insider trading action as GAMMEL PETER L, who the company’s Chief Technology Officer is sold some 17,015 shares at a price of $62.18 per share to the holding that now comprises of 12,566 shares. Its shares currently owned by company management are 0.20% while institutional investors own about 85.80%. The 6-month change recorded in total insider ownership was -44.59%. On the other side, 2.80% change in total institutional ownership has been reported for the 3-month period.
